01Is the instalment plan really interest-free?
Yes. For contracts of 6, 12 and 24 months via Medical Finance you pay zero interest and no set-up fees. What you see in your treatment plan is what you pay in total. We earn nothing on the financing itself, it is a service we offer to make the treatment accessible.
02Who can apply?
You need to be 18 or older, have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer), an income (salary, pension, unemployment benefit, student finance, etc.) and no active payment defaults. The assessment is made individually by Medical Finance.
03What if I am not approved?
You can apply together with a co-applicant (partner, parent, adult child) who becomes jointly liable. We can also adjust the setup with a higher down payment for a lower monthly payment.
04Do I have to pay anything up front?
No, not with Medical Finance. The full amount is financed and the first instalment is due only after the procedure. Some still choose to pay part upfront to reduce the monthly payment, that is up to you.
05Can I pay off faster?
Yes, you can settle in full whenever you want at no extra cost. There is no settlement fee. Log in with Medical Finance and choose "settle in full" for an updated final amount.
06How do I apply?
You can apply already at the consultation and get an answer the same day. Alternatively online via Medical Finance with BankID. We guide you through the whole process if you wish.
07Can I use other financing companies?
Yes, you are free to use any instalment service or bank. We recommend Medical Finance because they specialise in medical treatments and have interest-free plans up to 24 months. Other options usually charge interest.
08Does the application affect my credit rating?
An initial check is made as a soft enquiry without showing on your credit report. If you accept and sign the agreement, a formal credit check is made, which is visible for 12 months at UC. This is the same as for all credit checks in Sweden.
