PRP for skin

Restore the skin’s glow with your own blood plasma

PRP treatment for skin stimulates collagen production, evens out the skin tone and reduces fine lines. A natural method that uses the body’s own healing ability, without chemical additives.

Restore the skin’s glow with
PRP treatment step by step

From first fine line to restored glow

The whole PRP journey in four steps, why the skin changes, how your own blood plasma activates the repair and what you can expect over time.

It starts in biology

Why the skin changes

Over time collagen production decreases, elasticity wanes and the skin’s own cell renewal slows down. Sun, stress, hormones and inflammation accelerate the process.

The body’s own plasma

How PRP works

A small blood sample is taken, the plasma is concentrated into PRP rich in growth factors and injected into the skin. This signals the body to start its own repair process.

What happens in the skin

The effect in the skin

Fibroblasts are activated and start building new collagen and elastin. Cell renewal increases, microcirculation improves and the skin regains strength, glow and firmness.

What you see and feel

Results over time

The first effect appears after 3 to 4 weeks, the full result builds over 3 to 6 months. Maintenance treatments 1 to 2 times a year preserve the effect.

What is PRP for skin?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is taken from your own blood and centrifuged into a concentrated plasma rich in growth factors. The plasma is injected or massaged into the skin where it activates collagen and elastin production.

How does the treatment work?

We take a blood sample from the arm and centrifuge it for about 10 minutes. A numbing cream is applied to the area. The plasma is delivered into the upper layer of the skin via micro-needles or injections. The whole visit takes about 60 minutes.

Why it works

The growth factors in your plasma signal the skin’s fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin. This results in firmer skin, a more even tone, less visible pores and reduced fine lines, entirely naturally, from your own body.

The problem

The skin changes with time

The skin’s structure changes. Collagen breaks down, elasticity wanes, glow fades. Acne and breakouts leave unevenness, redness and scars behind. At the same time the sun leaves its mark, stress creates imbalance and inflammation disturbs the skin’s evenness and texture.

The consequence?

The skin becomes thinner, more uneven, loses its strength and its ability to recover.

The solution

PRP is not an external adjustment, it is an internal activation

By stimulating cell renewal and activating the skin’s own repair mechanisms, PRP reminds the skin of how it once worked.

The structure becomes stronger. The skin tone evens out. Unevenness from sun damage and acne is reduced. PRP restores the skin’s natural rhythm.

The result

The skin works for you

Platelets and bioactive proteins start a process deep within. Collagen production increases, the skin’s resilience strengthens, quality improves. The skin works for you, stronger, healthier, more resilient with every day that passes.

The skin becomes firmer, clearer, more balanced, completely naturally.

PRP treatment for the skin

Natural & effective cell renewal, renew, repair and strengthen your skin

Why PRP for the skin?

As the years go by, the skin’s collagen and elasticity decrease, making it thinner and more fragile. Visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles become more apparent, while acne, sun rays and stress contribute to redness, scars and unevenness.

At the same time the skin’s natural repair ability is weakened, which means recovery takes longer, unevenness builds up and the skin gradually loses its strength, evenness and glow.

What does PRP do?

PRP treatment starts from your own blood. We take a small blood sample and concentrate the platelets and growth factors that drive the skin’s natural healing processes.

When PRP is injected into the skin, the cells’ renewal work is activated and the production of elastin and collagen is stimulated, which helps reduce pigmentation and redness.

Result after PRP

After the treatments, the skin becomes thicker, stronger and more even. Glow increases and the skin gets better resistance to future damage.

PRP supports your skin’s natural renewal and delivers long-term improvements, entirely without chemical additives or surgery. The results develop gradually and individually, with optimal effect after about 3–4 treatments.

Indications

What PRP can help with

  • Uneven skin tone and pigmentation
  • Fine lines and early wrinkles
  • Scars from acne, shaving or small injuries
  • Large pores and rough texture
  • Skin that looks tired from stress or little sleep
  • Preventive purpose to strengthen the skin before issues become visible
The biology

How PRP works in the skin

  • Cell renewal is activated and the skin repairs itself faster
  • Collagen and elastin are formed again, making the skin stronger and smoother
  • Small blood vessels grow so the skin receives more oxygen and nutrients

Together, these processes produce skin that gradually becomes more even, resilient and vibrant.

How can PRP renew the skin deeply?

Want firmer skin, more even skin tone or to reduce scars and unevenness?

PRP is a treatment that strengthens the skin from within and is adapted to your needs. Whether you want to prevent signs of ageing, reduce pigmentation or strengthen the skin after damage, PRP works with the skin’s own biology to deliver lasting improvements.

By activating cell renewal, increasing collagen production and strengthening the skin barrier, PRP helps the skin regain its strength, elasticity and glow.

PRP suits various skin conditions and is effective for:

  • Improving the skin’s firmness and reducing wrinkles by stimulating collagen and elastin production
  • Evening out skin tone and reducing pigmentation, including sun damage and hyperpigmentation
  • Reducing redness, visible blood vessels and symptoms of sensitive skin and rosacea by strengthening the skin barrier and reducing inflammation
  • Improving the skin’s texture by reducing acne scars and unevenness, making the skin smoother and more hydrated
  • Strengthening the skin and accelerating healing of scars, burns and skin damage by activating cell renewal and strengthening the skin’s protective barrier
How PRP works

PRP, the body’s own resources in three steps

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma, plasma rich in platelets. The treatment uses the body’s own resources to stimulate the skin’s repair processes. Here is how it works:

  1. 01

A small blood sample is taken

We take a blood sample from the arm, as little as during a regular health check. No chemicals, no foreign substances, just your own blood.

  2. 02

The blood is processed in a centrifuge

In the centrifuge the blood is separated into its components and the platelets are concentrated in a nutrient-rich plasma. The process takes about 10 minutes.

  3. 03

The plasma is injected into the skin

The nutrient-rich plasma is delivered into the upper layer of the skin via micro-needles or injections, exactly where the growth factors are needed most.

The treatment procedure takes about 45 minutes and requires minimal recovery.

Common skin challenges

Where PRP can help

Four concrete situations where PRP can make the biggest difference, with the body’s own growth factors strengthening the skin from within.

Skin after pregnancy

After pregnancy some women experience that the skin has become thinner or less firm. Others notice that unevenness and pigmentation linger. PRP can give the skin better conditions to recover, strengthen the skin barrier and make the surface more even.

Skin tone and pigmentation

Pigmentation is a common issue for women, especially after sun exposure or hormonal changes. It can make the skin look uneven or patchy. PRP stimulates cell renewal and can gradually contribute to a more even skin tone, where the spots become less prominent and often disappear completely.

Fine lines and early wrinkles

When the skin’s own building blocks decrease, fine lines often become more visible. For many women they start to appear around the eyes, forehead or mouth. PRP activates collagen production, which can soften the lines and give the skin a smoother appearance over time.

Skin impact from sun exposure

Many women have spent time in the sun without protection earlier in life, which can lead to spots, unevenness and skin that ages faster. PRP strengthens the skin’s repair ability and can reduce the visibility of sun damage.

Collagen, elastin & glow

Why PRP renews the skin

When PRP is injected into the skin, growth factors are released that trigger the fibroblasts, the skin’s collagen and elastin producers, to work the way they did when you were younger.

The result is skin that feels firmer, looks more radiant and has better texture. Because the plasma is 100% from your own body there is no allergy risk and no downtime.

More about PRP for the skin

All about PRP treatment for the skin

1. How PRP can renew your skin
PRP is an ageless support for the skin rather than a quick fix. By activating the skin’s own collagen and elastin production, PRP prevents signs of ageing while improving firmness, evenness and radiance. The treatment suits both those who want to prevent ageing early and those who want to refine skin that has started losing its firmness. Results develop over 3–6 months and are preserved with maintenance once a year.
6. PRP for dark circles & bags under the eyes
The skin under the eyes is thin and easily shows dark circles as blood vessels and pigment shine through. PRP thickens the upper layer through new collagen formation, which reduces the visibility of underlying vessels and pigmentation. Bags can be softened by improved lymphatic circulation that the growth factors stimulate. The area is extra sensitive, so we use milder doses there and often combine with mild microneedling.
2. How does PRP differ from other treatments?
Unlike botox, fillers or laser, PRP works with the body’s own biology. No chemicals, no heat, no foreign substances, just your own plasma concentrated and placed where the skin’s fibroblasts need help. This makes PRP safe for all skin types and skin colours, even sensitive skin. The effect is gradual rather than immediate, which gives a natural result that doesn’t look like a treatment, just better skin.
7. PRP for acne, acne scars, scars & burns
PRP accelerates healing and triggers the formation of healthy skin. For acne scars, results are usually clear after 3–6 treatments, depressions are filled out and the skin tone evens. We often combine with microneedling that breaks down scar tissue mechanically while PRP drives healing biologically. The treatment is not appropriate for active acne with inflamed outbreaks, we wait until the skin is calm.
3. PRP for wrinkles, fine lines & lax skin
As we age the body’s production of collagen and elastin decreases, leading to thinner skin, fine lines and lost firmness. PRP contains growth factors that signal the skin’s fibroblasts to produce more of these proteins. The result: firmer skin, softer lines, preserved youthful structure. Best effect on fine lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead. Final result after 3–6 months when the collagen has had time to build up.
8. PRP & microneedling with Dermapen
Dermapen is a medically approved microneedling system with digitally adjustable needle depth. When we combine Dermapen with PRP, you get a treatment that is both mechanically activating (the channels trigger repair) and biologically strengthening (the growth factors drive healing). The microchannels also work as a transport path for PRP deep down to the basal cell layer where the fibroblasts sit. One of the most effective skincare treatments available today.
4. PRP for sun damage, pigmentation & uneven skin tone
UV radiation breaks down the skin’s support tissue and creates uneven pigmentation. PRP stimulates the skin’s own renewal mechanisms that even out the tone and build new healthy skin from below. The growth factors PDGF and VEGF also activate microcirculation, which contributes to even colour and radiance. Sun protection is extra important throughout the treatment period to protect the newly formed tissue.
9. How PRP helps the skin rebuild collagen & elastin
The growth factors in PRP activate fibroblasts, the skin’s collagen and elastin producing cells. When the fibroblasts receive signals from PDGF, VEGF, IGF-1, EGF and TGF-β, they start a repair process where new proteins are built over 3–6 months. The result is skin that not only looks younger but actually functions younger with better firmness and elasticity. The effect is scientifically documented in several clinical studies.
5. PRP to relieve redness & rosacea
In redness and rosacea the skin barrier is weakened and the small blood vessels are more visible. PRP contains growth factors that strengthen the skin barrier over time and reduce the inflammation that drives the symptoms. Because the plasma comes from your own blood, the treatment is gentle even on sensitive skin, no risk of allergic reaction or chemical irritation. We adapt dose and technique carefully based on your skin, and the treatment is reserved for stable periods, not during active rosacea flare-ups.
10. What do PRP’s growth factors do?
The plasma contains five key growth factors, each with a specific role: PDGF repairs the tissue, VEGF builds more blood vessels, IGF-1 extends the cells’ active phase, EGF improves the environment around the cells and TGF-β regulates the balance. Together they create the optimal conditions for the skin’s own renewal, we only place the body’s own signalling molecules where they do the most good.

Patient safety

When is PRP not suitable for the skin?

PRP is a safe treatment for most people. However, there are situations where we advise against or postpone the treatment. The assessment is always made individually at the consultation.

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Ongoing blood-thinning treatment
  • Severe diabetes
  • Certain skin diseases (we review at the consultation)
  • Active infection in the area to be treated
01What does PRP do for the skin?
PRP stimulates the skin’s own production of collagen and elastin. The result is firmer skin, an evener tone, reduced fine lines and pore size, without chemical additives.
02Which areas can be treated?
Face, neck, décolletage and hands (4,300 SEK per area). Add another area for + 1,500 SEK.
03How many treatments are needed?
3–4 treatments with 4–6 weeks between them give optimal effect. Maintenance once a year preserves the result.
04Is the treatment painful?
We use a numbing cream and the thinnest possible needles. Many experience only a mild tingling sensation.
05When is the result visible?
Improved skin tone after 3–4 weeks. Firm and smoother skin after the completed initial course (around 3 months). The result continues to develop for up to 12 months as collagen builds up.
06How long does the result last?
Between 12 and 18 months. Maintenance treatments 1–2 times a year preserve the effect over time.
07Are there side effects?
Since the plasma comes from your own blood the risk of allergic reactions is essentially zero. Mild redness and swelling the first day is normal.
08Can PRP be combined with microneedling?
Yes, the combination of Microneedling + PRP is one of our most popular treatments (5,800 SEK) and provides a deeper effect on texture, scars and pigmentation.
