Smoking
Avoid smoking for at least a week before the procedure. Smoking affects the procedure itself, the healing process and the final result.
Thank you for your trust. This guide helps you prepare in the best way for your big day, so that the procedure, the healing and the final result are as good as possible.

We look forward to taking care of you. The points below are gathered from what we know gives the best conditions for the procedure and your healing, both medically and practically. Read through them a few days before your visit and get in touch if anything feels unclear.
Avoid smoking for at least a week before the procedure. Smoking affects the procedure itself, the healing process and the final result.
Avoid all forms of nicotine for at least 48 hours before the procedure, including snus, nicotine patches and e-cigarettes.
Avoid coffee for 48 hours before the procedure. Caffeine raises blood pressure and can affect blood flow during the treatment.
Abstain from alcohol for at least 48 hours before your hair transplant. Alcohol affects the blood’s ability to clot.
Avoid NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Naproxen) and ASA (Aspirin) for at least 72 hours before. Prescription blood thinners are cleared with the responsible physician.
Bring valid ID to the visit. We carry out an ID check on arrival in accordance with the Patient Safety Act.
Wear a top that opens with buttons or a zip. After the procedure you cannot pull anything over your head.
Feel free to bring in-ear headphones (larger headsets do not work during the treatment). Listen to a podcast or audiobook during the day.
Wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo the same morning or the evening before the procedure. A clean scalp is important.
Eat a proper meal before you come to the clinic. Snacks and drinks are served throughout the day.
Do NOT shave your hair before the procedure. The hair should be at least 4 mm long so we can assess direction and density.
Set aside the whole day for the procedure. We always prioritise quality over time, the procedure can take 6-10 hours depending on the scope.
Arrange a lift or taxi home after the procedure. Avoid public transport the same day to reduce infection risk.
Get a neck pillow and keep it handy for the first few nights. It helps you sleep on your back without pressure on the transplanted area.
Sleep with freshly washed bedding the first few nights. A clean sleeping environment reduces the risk of infection in healing wounds.
We recommend 72 hours of rest after the procedure and a total of 7 days off work for the best healing.
