Enlarged pores
Enlarged pores are common with oily or ageing skin. Microneedling can strengthen the skin around the pores and make them look less prominent.

Results over a series
The effect builds gradually over several treatments and maintenance.
Large, visible pores are one of the most common skin concerns and usually result from a combination of oily skin, genetics and the skin losing resilience with age. When the supporting tissue around a pore weakens, the pore looks larger. Pores cannot be "closed" permanently, but they can be made considerably less prominent.
Microneedling is an effective treatment for exactly this. By stimulating collagen production in the skin around the pores, the tissue is strengthened and tightened, which makes the pores look smaller and the surface more even. PRP can be combined to enhance the effect and improve skin quality in general. Many also find the skin becomes more matte and even in tone.
As with all collagen-stimulating treatment, the result builds over a series of treatments, and a good daily skincare routine (cleansing, possibly retinoids on advice) helps maintain it. A realistic goal is visibly smaller pores and more even skin, not pore-less skin, which no treatment can promise.
